SHELADIA provided technical assistance to improve the effectiveness of the State of Maharashtra is activities in management, design and operation of minor (300 ha) irrigation systems, including studies and analyses of selected pilot areas, workshops, and linkages with US institutions. Developed and implemented a multipurpose minor irrigation system model with 12 specialized databases. Trained over 200 Department staff in water management at the system level, OFWM and organization of WUAs. Developed in-service and offshore training programs. Produced specialized technical equipment and computer hardware and software.
