Open-end contract to provide complete roadway design services for the Washington DC Government throughout the District of Columbia.

Brief Description of Services Provided

  • Design and preparation of plans, special provisions, cost estimates, and bid documents for construction, rehabilitation, improvement, and resurfacing of streets and roads
  • Design to upgrade streetlights and traffic signals
  • Innovative storm drainage design to improve the quality of storm water treatment and conveyance
  • Preparation of traffic management plans for safe vehicular and pedestrian traffic during works.

Assignments have included the following:

  • Full design services for reconstruction of 2,500 feet of New Hampshire Avenue, from Dupont Circle to Washington Circle and resurfacing of 1,500 feet of New Hampshire Avenue from Washington Circle to Virginia Avenue in Ward 2. Both segments consist of concrete pavement with a surface layer of asphalt. Project includes streetlights, signing, and pavement markings upgrades, reconstruction of 11 intersections, resurfacing of 5 intersections, handicapped ramps, sidewalks, fire hydrants, drainage/inlet structures, median, landscaping, as well as maintenance of two-way traffic during construction [Expecting Notice to Proceed].
  • Design services and changes to construction contact to accommodate landscape upgrade of medians during reconstruction of 16th Street, including Gateway Circle and the World War I Memorial.
  • Development, pilot implementation, and district wide implementation of gateway signs for the District of Columbia, including site studies and engineering.
