Indefinite quantity contract for various highway engineering services with the oldest toll road in the world. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission was created in 1937. Today the system includes 810 km of roads and carries 114.3 million vehicles per year. The network includes numerous bridges and several important tunnels to cross the Appalachian Mountains. Typical projects included roadway widenings, resurfacing, reconstruction, bridge rehabilitations and replacement, hydraulic studies, rest area reconstruction, field surveys, safety improvements and maintenance, noise barriers, retaining walls, and access ramps.
