Project included design of roadway approaches and support for utilities, lighting, signing and signalization, as well as design of deck replacement, new bridge structures, piers, abutments, retaining walls for bridges and ramps with straight and curved girder beams at different crossings and interchanges along the Jones Falls Expressway for the following bridge structures:

  • Replacement of 3-lane deck and rehabilitation of substructure for 4-span steel beam bridge No. BC3109 and BC3111
  • Replacement of 200 m-long Bridge No. BC3115 with a new reinforced concrete voided slab bridge
  • Replacement of 5-lane deck and widening with substructure rehabilitation of 5-span 80 m-long steel beam bridge No. BC3204
  • Replacement of 25 m-wide and 192 m-long Cold Spring Lane Bridge No. BC3208 over Jones Falls (stream) and Penn Central Railroad [included horizontal curved plate girders on high reinforced concrete piers and abutments and long retaining walls]
  • New horizontally curved plate girder bridge over U.S. Rte. 1 and ramp structure at Northern Avenue.
