Construction Supervision Services for Madhya Pradesh State Road Sector Development Project, Phase II, Nine Highway Corridors
The Madhya Pradesh State Road Sector Development Project is designed to rehabilitate about 1,750 km of state roads identified from important state road corridors including state roads with relatively high traffic volumes providing transport services for the predominant agricultural production, and rural connectivity roads to benefit rural poor with better access to mainstream economy road business opportunities. Phase II of the Project involves improvement and rehabilitation of state highways with flexible pavement, flexible overlay on existing pavement, construction of bridges and culverts, and construction of high embankments. STANLEY/SHELADIA has been retained as supervision consultants for the following works:
- Morena-Sabalgarh and Sabalgarh-Shyampur Roads, State Highway No. 23, Contract MP/Phase-II/Pkg-1 (70 km and 49 km, $13.43 million)
- Vidisha-Kurwai Road, State Highway No. 19, Contract MP/Phase-II/Pkg-5 (74.6 km, $10 million)
- Porsa-Mehgaon-Mau-Seonda Road, State Highway No. 19, Contract MP/Phase-II/Pkg-6 (77.4 km, $8.2 million)
- Badnawar-Thandla Road, State Highway No. 18, Contract MP/Phase-II/Pkg-8 (78.8 km, $9.16 million)
- Khargone-Badwani and Khargone-Bistan Roads, State Highways No. 26 and 31, Contract MP/Phase-II/Pkg-10 (85.2 and 21 km, $9.91 million)
- Guna-Fathegarh-Paron and Biaora-Maksudangarh-Sironj Road, State Highway No. 14, Contract MP/Phase-II/Pkg-11(65 and 88 km, $17.65 million)
Brief Description of Services Provided
- Design and bid documents review
- Construction supervision based on FIDIC conditions of contract modified with World Bank conditions of particular application
- Environmental and social monitoring
- Monitoring during defect liability period
- Training and technology transfer, including training needs assessments, and preparation and implementation of training programs.
