Efforts included providing the necessary skilled and trained personnel, facilities, services, equipment, and materials to accomplish responsive, adequate, and timely technical, engineering, scientific, and administrative support services for all tasks requested by DOE

Brief Description of Services Provided *Analysis of major factors affecting the selection and use of fuels by industry, including analyses of technical, economic, and business factors affecting applicability of new technologies. Also included development of profiles of selected industries in terms of energy and energy technology needs. *Technical and budget/economic analysis to develop the conceptual design of a novel gasification plant, followed by the detailed mechanical and process design for a waste coal pyrolysis process. Also tested and evaluated the process on a pilot plant facility. Included the following specific activities: *Detailed mechanical design of pilot plant *Development of process test procedures *Collection and evaluation of data during pilot operation *Preparation of technical and economic evaluations of the process based on operating data.

All tasks were completed within budget and all deliverables were submitted on schedule.
