Sheladia’s housing experience ranges from new construction and comprehensive renovation to general upgrade, repair and maintenance work for a broad range of housing types. Sheladia has worked on various housing projects, including high and mid-rise housing projects, town-homes, duplexes, and single-family homes.
We have successfully completed many housing projects for a broad range of Public and Private clients such as the Housing Authority of the Prince George’s County, Department of Community Development Prince George’s County, District of Columbia Housing Authority the City of Annapolis and the Rockville Housing Authority.
The Judiciary House is a 10-story building, about 30 years old, with 225 dwelling units for Senior Citizens. SHELADIA provided remedial design to restore concrete balconies that have deteriorated to an unsafe condition.

The objective of this project was to provide security to Garfield Terrace Public Housing Complex, located at 2301 11th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The complex comprises of a multistory senior’s apartment building, garden apartments and grounds.

One of our successful recent housing projects is the Modernization of Housing of Five Sites for the Department of Housing and Community Development of the Prince George’s County.
The project included:

Improving Energy Efficiency for Building Envelope
- Replacement of existing roof with energy-efficient hybrid roof with high “R” VALUE
- Security system upgrades
- Interior Public areas modernization
- Tenant’s unit’s upgradation meeting the HUD’S Modernization program.
We have completed several projects for these agencies. All of these projects were designed in full conformance with HUD standards.

The housing Authority of Prince George’s County (HAPGC) in its mission to provide quality housing for the residents.
HAPGC has goal to design and develop a new residential facility for the elderly and disabled. The project will house population aged 62 and older, consisting of 200 dwelling units with recreational and support spaces. This project offers a series of complex challenges, that include issue of economy, aesthetics, maintainability, and most importantly the challenge of creating a facility that avoids institutional appearance and an environment that promotes socialization, conducive to comfort, secured and well being of the elderly population.
