Position: Roads and Highway Engineering
Location: Worldwide
For those with an interest in working internationally in Africa and Asia, with extensive experience to support design and project management of upcoming and ongoing projects in transportation, vertical structures (schools, clinics, government buildings), energy (conventional and renewable/alternative) and water resources and sanitation (potable urban and rural water systems, wastewater/sanitation, irrigation, dams/storage) and rural development.
Requirements:
- Must have Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field
- Membership in relevant professional organization is desired
- Must have Minimum of fifteen (15) years of practical and relevant professional experience in road design or road construction and/or rehabilitation
- Minimum of eight (8) years professional experience on roads/highways/tollways/bridges in developing and/or post-conflict countries
- Must have knowledge of modern pavement construction technology
- Must Speak/Read/Write English fluently
- Experience on projects funded by international development institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, USAID, AfDB, and familiar with their guidelines
Job Descriptions:
1) Highway Engineers experienced in the design of modern highways and rural roads using computer software like MOSS, CivilCadd and Inroads.
2) Transport Economists experienced in project design and economic studies (including experience with road taxes and Road Boards a plus).
3) Resident Engineers with experience in project management, design oversight and reviews, contract tendering and evaluation, quality control, value engineering, construction management and supervision
4) Bridge Engineers for design and construction supervision of new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridges, familiar with current design software and international practices.
